COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This offering aims to encourage participants to get their feet wet, and dip their deckle into the magic that is Papermaking. Participants will physically create a series of art works by exploring color choice, placement and variation of fiber. Handmade Paper can be utilized to create works using inclusions, “pulp drawing”, “pulp painting”, layering, stenciling, patterning, collaging and more. Participants will learn to work with Cotton and Fine Cotton pulp to practice with a variety of materials and a lite range of processes. Participants will briefly learn about the origins of each fiber and engage with examples that highlight their potential uses.

SCHEDULE:

Class meets on Saturday November 15th and Sunday November 16th from 11:00AM to 5:00PM, breaking for Lunch from 1:30PM to 2:30PM.

MATERIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

Bring your own boots & clothes you're comfortable getting wet. Fiber, Materials & Equipment Provided.
