Valentines Day Workshop with Aidan Anne Frierson
Saturday, February 7th | 10:00am-4:00pm
This one-day workshop supports making paper to honor the spirit of love, friendship, and care. The Valentine’s Workshop encourages participants to create cards, love notes, offerings, or any other form of sentimental ephemera that sparks joy and connection.
Participants will get their feet wet, practice sheet formation, and press their sheets collectively. This offers hands-on practice in collaborative making with cotton and abaca fibers, and encourages participants to explore pigmented pulp, Mylar stencils, inclusions, watercolor crayon, and sparkle pigments—perfect for crafting heartfelt, one-of-a-kind Valentine keepsakes. We welcome your own inclusions—bring dried flowers, photos, or other personal items to embed in your paper. This is an introductory course, open to all skill levels; from novice to intermediate.
MATERIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Bring your own boots & clothes you're comfortable getting wet. Aprons, Fiber, Materials & Equipment Provided.
